Since opening our doors in 2006, Piranha Nightclub has been more than just a hotspot for dancing and drag—it’s been a pillar of Las Vegas LGBTQ+ nightlife, unapologetically bold and fiercely proud. Nestled in the heart of the historic Fruit Loop district, Piranha was created as a space for self-expression, celebration, and community—long before inclusivity became a buzzword.
What started as a high-energy club with a mission to uplift the local queer scene has since grown into a Vegas nightlife institution—a space where tourists mingle with locals, where first-time clubbers become family, and where drag legends are born and celebrated every single night.
A Stage for Stars, A Home for All
From the very beginning, Piranha set the bar high with its multi-room layout, state-of-the-art sound and lighting, and an atmosphere that was as wild as it was welcoming. Over the years, we’ve hosted countless drag icons, rising stars, and surprise celebrity guests.
Britney Spears, Janet Jackson, Sam Smith, Lance Bass, and Paula Abdul—just to name a few—have danced among the crowd, proving that when you’re at Piranha, you never know who might show up.
But the real stars? The performers, DJs, and dancers who light up our stages week after week. The community that fills our dance floors. The people who’ve made Piranha their home away from home.
A Part of Las Vegas LGBTQ+ History
Located just off the Strip, the Fruit Loop has long been a safe haven and celebration zone for the LGBTQ+ community. Piranha helped redefine that neighborhood’s cultural footprint, turning a local circuit into a nationally recognized nightlife destination.
Through the years, we’ve championed local talent, hosted countless Pride events, supported community fundraisers, and kept the music going even when the odds were stacked against nightlife.
Evolving, But Always Iconic
While trends have changed and Vegas has grown, Piranha has stayed true to its essence—fun, fierce, and fabulously queer.
We’ve upgraded sound systems, renovated spaces, launched new themed nights, and expanded bottle service offerings to match the high standards of the evolving Vegas club scene—but one thing remains constant:
